Helicopter Visit!

There was great excitement in school today when the Irish Coastguard came for a return visit, following their water safety talk in school 2 weeks ago. But this time, they brought the search and rescue helicopter with them! Our friends at Blackrock Park kindly gave permission for it to land there, and the whole school went to the park to watch it land. Each class had the opportunity to go.

Tennis Cancelled on Friday

Due to the school closure this Friday, 22md May, there will be no tennis camp with Coach Gus.

Uniform Swap Shop

Come join us on 18th June to “RE-UNIFORM”! Drop off any donations of uniform to the school office any time between now and 18th June.

Uniform Swap Shop

In June we will hold a uniform swap day where parents can bring in outgrown items of uniform and replace them If you have an old uniform that your child has grown out of, or they are moving on to a new school or secondary, we would be delighted to receive it as a donation. If you then need to get a new uniform, you may be first to come.

Primary Online Database

The Department of Education and Skills recently developed an individualised database of primary school children, called the Primary Online Database (POD). The Department issued a letter earlier this year which outlines the reasoning behind the collection of data as well as link to FAQ’s and further information. Bring It On!

Pupils from 4th, 5th and 6th Classes travelled to St Vincent’s Secondary School this morning to see their Transition Year Show “Bring It On!”. The plot of the musical centres on Torrance Shipman, who inherits the position of captain on her high school’s cheerleading squad and attempts to lead her team to a sixth national title. However, Torrance is informed by the newest team member, Missy Pantone, that she is.
