This is a new quarterly publication for parents from the Louth Child and Family Support Newtork. In Edition 1 you will find information on some of the services available to children, young people and families across Louth, as well as information on the Louth Meath Child and Family Support Networks.
• St Francis NS is using the Seesaw App for communicating homework and distance learning with pupils and their parents/guardians. We will continue to use Komeer App to communicate with parents and the school website to celebrate school life. • Distance learning will be teacher led and will include both online and activities some that can be carried out offline. Children can take a photo of their work and upload.
As part of our Distance Learning Planning in the event of a classroom or school closure, we need to establish to what extent our pupils have access to digital learning at home, specifically Seesaw and the school website. We will be starting to re-introduce homework from Monday October 5th 2020. For Junior and Senior Infants: Infants will take home a homework folder which will be kept in their school bag for use at home and at school. The children will be in 4 “reading groups”. We are delighted that the Phase 3 Re-Opening of Ireland has given the go ahead for Summer Camps to operate on the school premises this summer. The Board of Management of St Francis NS has authorised our existing providers to operate summer camps this year on the condition that they have the relevant certification to prove they are Covid compliant with regard to the sanitisation of equipment, the numbers.
We challenge you to be active on, Sunday June 28th and celebrate National BeActive Day! Sport Ireland are passionate about getting Ireland physically active, involved in sport and ensuring everyone in the community has the chance to be included. Despite the current Covid-19 restrictions, Sport Ireland’s network of Local Sports Partnerships are still delivering national initiatives and support to keep people active and together we challenge you to take part.
