BeeBot Lessons

Pupils in Junior Infants A had great fun with their first BeeBot lessons today. Pupils in Junior Infants B and Senior Infants will get their introduction to BeeBots next week.

Thank you very much to our Parent’s Association for financing the purchase of the BeeBots out of last years fundraising money.

What are BeeBots?

Bee-Bots are a wonderful tool to teach pupils the fundamentals of coding and computational thinking. The small BeeBot robot can remember up to 40 commands consisting of forward, backwards, left and right movements to maneuver around the floor. These commands develop pupils understanding of sequencing, computational thinking and the mathematical concepts of coordinates, distance, and location.
