Congratulations to the pupils of St Francis NS who participated in the Feis Dun Dealgan last weekend. Organised by Patricia Reynolds, our visiting Speech & Drama teacher, this speech & drama festival is a wonderful opportunity for children to participate on a competitive platform through a medium of fun, building their confidence and presentation skills. It is also the only Speech & Drama Festival held for competitors aged 4-18 years in County.

Congratulations to the pupils who took part in the MS Readathon at the end of last year. Pupils from 3rd to 6th classes were all invited to participate. Work is due to commence at the end of this week on the installation of a new mobile classroom in the school grounds. The site of the new classroom will be to the right of the pitch, behind the staff car park. To mark Internet Safety Day on Tuesday 5th February we have once again invited James Neary, of Children Of The Digital Age, to come in to school and talk to each class about online safety. In the evening at 7pm we will have a 90 presentation for parents where James will feed back on his finding from the talk with pupils and offer advice and information to parents on how.
