Special Education Teacher
Helen Clinton completed her primary degree in Education and Training in Dublin City University. Since graduating from DCU in 2008, Helen went on to complete the Postgraduate Diploma in primary education in St. Patrick’s College, Drumcondra. Since her graduation in 2010, Helen has worked in many schools both in mainstream and in special education.
Helen has a passion for maths and is keen to make maths more fun and enjoyable for pupils.
Helen is also passionate about Physical Education and the importance of keeping children active. Helen was manager of the girls Gaelic team for her local club in Drogheda where they had many successes.
Helen joined St Francis teaching staff in 2015 and spent 2 years in 3rd class, before moving to the Senior Infants class and then on to our Special Education Team, where she gives additional teaching support to pupils, particularly in the infant classes.
Helen is our Active Schools champion and PE Co-ordinator, organising the extra curricular school sporting teams, Active Schools Week and our annual sports day in June.
She is also the staff representative on the Board of Management.
