Special Needs Assistant
Lisa joined St Francis in August 2014. Lisa re-trained in 2012 gaining a major award in Childcare from Early Childhood Ireland. Lisa works with children with Special needs in our school. She specifically looks after their care needs and assists the class teachers with the education of special needs pupils in her charge. Prior to working in St Francis Lisa worked in the area of Training & Development and HR.
Lisa was intrumental in setting up the very popular “Friday night at the Movies” in school, with the specific aim of raising funds for the installation of finger guards on the doors in school and sensory items for the outdoor play. It has been a huge success with pupils – and their parents!
Two years ago Lisa successfully completed her studies (during her weekends off) to gain a level 7 degree as an SNA.
In Lisa’s rare spare time she enjoys spinning and yoga – and looking after her grandson Harry. She also dreams of being on Masterchef one day 🙂
