Blackrock Tidy Towns Spring Clean Up

Blackrock Village Annual Spring Clean takes place this Saturday morning, 13th April and we hope you’ll be able to join us.
We meet in the lower car park of Centra at 10am and hope to finish soon after 11 with some refreshments.
Bring along wellies (a lot of our clean-up will be on the foreshore), and we’ll supply the gloves, litter pickers and bags.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or teacher.
Aidan Gray from An Taisce will also be on hand for the morning to provide information on the “Think Before You Flush” campaign to help rid our seas of waste, especially of plastic waste including micro-plastics. Please come along if you can and help us keep Blackrock beautiful.

In addition, Blackrock Tidy Towns plan to have a rubbish disposal awareness campaign on Easter Monday. It will simply involve having 3 tonne bags available outside the community centre for the disposal of Easter egg packaging: cardboard, plastic and foil and people are invited to take their packaging along and dispose of it in the in the appropriate bags.
