Our classmate, Gareth, in 6th class is going to the Leinster Athletics Juvenile Championships in Athlone!
Today, I’ve asked him some questions for all of us to know more about what he’ll be doing and some extra information. Gareth’s pretty confident in himself for these championships but he isn’t too overzealous. He got 2nd place in sprinting and jumping to lead him to where he is and now I’ll give some info. Unsurprisingly, there are shoe rules. If you wear spikes, they have to be 5 or 6mm long. The runners will have a warm up area to loosen up before their races to prevent injury and get some energy. Gareth says that his activities will likely be livestreamed.
