Your not dreaming when you see that title as St. Francis N.S came out victorious, not just for the boys, but the girls as well won the 2025 Dundalk Basketball tournament!
The tournament took place at the Dundalk Sports Centre on Friday the 23rd of May. there were two groups for both genders, only the top two of the four teams would proceed to the semi-finals and obviously, considering this is St. Francis we’re talking about, both teams came first place in the group, taking them to the semi-finals. The boys faced our rivals St. Oliver’s Plunkett’s in the semis, and because of St. Francis having such a strong and great team, we beat them to put us in the finals! And for the girls, they smashed Bay estate to go against St. Olivers in the finals! This was a tough match for both teams, but with the sheer strength of St. Francis… We won!
