Recently, St.Francis NS has had TWO national art competition winners. One of the winners Basheer Ahmed Avesh, in 6th class B, won the National Marine Spatial Planning Poster Competition Awards which gave €500 to the school for his absolutely amazing drawing of the future for our planet. The next winner, Charlotte Agnew, who used to come to St Francis N.S, won the Green Schools Marine Spatial Awareness Award for photography with her amazing photo of two fishermen. After interviewing both of them, Basheer quotes “I felt surprised at first, I didn’t expect to win at all. I saw art that was better than mine though they didn’t have meaning, unlike mine.” We have asked many questions from both of them, and it’s clear, they weren’t expecting the victory and they were extremely surprised and happy. Everyone from the school is extremely proud of their great accomplishments. And St. Francis N.S couldn’t be more happy to have such great talent in their students!
