Due to popular demand our Parents’ Association has decided to do a school calendar again this year. For all the new parents this is a calendar starring all the lovely pupils in the school. The children will be grouped into the months they were born (this is such a handy way to work out what birthdays are coming up each month). We would like the calendar to be a memory.
Many thanks to everybody for the overwhelming support for our Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day in school last Friday. To the pupils (and their hard working mums!) who baked their hearts out with amazing cakes and buns, to the pupils and staff who brought in donations, to Village Garden florists for the beautiful flowers, to the parents who helped take photos, set up, supervise and clean up in the.
We will be holding a coffee morning and bake sale in school next Friday 24th March, in aid of the Irish Cancer Society Daffodil Day Appeal. Parents are invited to call in for coffee, cake and craic after the 9am drop off, or later as the coffee morning will go on until midday. For the pupils we will have a bake sale and pupils are invited to bring in one.
Next Tuesday, 14th February, we are having a FREE DRESS DAY. Come to school dressed in bright colours to celebrate the spring!! We are asking every pupil to bring in a donation of 2 euros (or more if you wish!!!). This money will be spent on a Buddy Bench (or maybe two!1!). What is a Buddy Bench? Children sit on the bench in the yard to indicate that they want.
What an amazing night! It was our 2nd Table Quiz and it looks like it’s going to stay in our calendar for each year as one of our main fundraising events. The response from our parents and local community was fantastic as always. We managed to collect many beautiful prizes for the raffle – 15 of them, 3 great prizes for 1st,2nd and 3rd place for quiz winners and lovely.

Friday March 11th marked National Daffodil Day in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. We had an extra special reason this year to hold an event as one of our 2nd Class pupils has just returned to school following treatment for Cancer. Every child in the school was invited to wear something yellow and they all got to bed-down a daffodil bulb ready for planting in the Autumn. There was.
